Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE-Main), which is an Indian computer-based test for admission to a variety of technical undergraduate programs in engineering, architecture, and planning at universities throughout India. The National Testing Agency conducts the exam for admission to B.Tech, B.Arch, etc. programs in prestigious technical institutions like the National Institutes of Technology (NIT) and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIIT), which are dependent on the JEE-Main rank. Typically, it takes place twice a year. The JEE is now completely online and computerized since the middle of 2019.

Candidates who have passed Classed 12th in 2022, 2023 or will be appearing in 2024 are eligible to register for JEE Mains 2024.
To fill JEE Main Application Form 2024, candidates need to register, upload scanned documents, and pay application fees.

NTA had revised JEE Main 2024 registration fee last year. General/Gen-EWS/OBC (NCL) male and female candidates need to pay INR 1000 and INR 800 respectively for a single paper. SC/ST/PwD/Transgender candidates are required to pay INR 500 as a non-refundable JEE Main 2024 application form fee.
Candidates must upload a high-quality recently scanned photograph along with the scanned signature in JPG/JPEG format.
On successful registration for JEE Main 2024, a confirmation page is generated. Candidates are advised to download and take a printout of the same for future use.
JEE Main 2024 Registration Fee
NTA has revised JEE Main 2024 registration fee. General/ OBC/EWS male candidates applying for a single paper in JEE Main 2024 need to pay INR 1000. Meanwhile, female candidates have to pay INR 800 as the application fee. All other candidates, SC/ST/PwD and Third gender candidates need to pay INR 500 as the revised fee while filling. JEE Main 2024 Registration Fee is non-refundable.
JEE Main 2024 Registration Fee for candidates appearing for the exam outside India has also been increased. General category candidates applying for a single paper in JEE Main 2024 need to pay INR 5000.
JEE Main 2024 Eligibility Criteria
JEE Main 2024 Eligibility Criteria: NTA schedules JEE Main exam twice, in months of January and April. Candidates will get two attempts at JEE Main 2024. A total of three consecutive attempts are provided to clear JEE Main.
For B.E./ B.Tech (Paper 1) – Physics and Mathematics along with one of these subjects Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology are mandatory in qualifying examination.
- For B. Arch. (Paper 2) – Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects at 10+2 level and should also have secured above 50% marks in each subject.
- For B. Planning (Paper 3) – Mathematics as a compulsory subject in class 12.
